6.Five policies to encourage, create and protect intellectual property |
China's State Council published the "Several Supporting Policies for Implementing the National Outline for the
Mid and Long term Development Program of Science and Technology"on February 26. Five policies were
formulated for further creation and protection of intellectual property, building a good environment to respect
and protect intellectual property rights.
The five policies in brief are as follow:
(1)Support of individual IPRs of key technologies and important products;
(2)Active participation in formulating international standards;
(3)Establish and improve the IP protection system, reinforce the enforcement for IPRs,
and build an environment where the IPRs are being respected and protected;
(4)Shorten the examination period of patent for invention;
(5)Reinforce the construction of the system of technical barriers to trade.
